History: Founded in 2025 by Head Instructor Sensei Rich Coenen, Issho Aikido was established to share the peaceful philosophy and disciplined practice of Aikido throughout Sarpy, Cass, and Otoe Counties in Nebraska. Issho Aikido and it's students are proud members of Aikidio Hawaii Internaional (AHI II) headed by Sensei Thomas Walsh, Rokudan. Aikido Hawaii International II is affiliated with the Aikikai Foundation Aikido World Headquarters in Japan. The membership and affiliation ensures its teachings are rooted in authentic tradition and global standards.
Our dojo welcomes individuals of all ages and is dedicated to cultivating confidence, discipline, social and leadership skills through the study of Aikido and practical self-defense. In addition to promoting physical wellness, Issho Aikido serves as a supportive space for martial arts enthusiasts to deepen their knowledge and refine their practice.
Mission: Together (Issho) growing mind, body, and spirit. Sharing our knowledge and love of Aikido-a martial art grounded in peace and harmony-and how it relates to everyday life in a family friendly atmosphere with individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels (ages 6 and up).
